Floral Preservation Disclosure & Agreement

Your $200 deposit will be applied toward your final preservation balance.

Before submitting your deposit, please take a moment to review the following information. Floral preservation is a delicate, handcrafted process involving natural materials, and while I take tremendous care with every bouquet, there are certain characteristics and outcomes that are simply part of working with real flowers.

By submitting your deposit and flowers for preservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Shipping Timing & Condition

Flowers should be shipped as soon as possible following your wedding to give them the best possible start to the preservation process. Detailed shipping instructions will be provided to you, and following them carefully is very important.

Because I do not have control over the flowers while they are in transit, I cannot be responsible for their condition upon arrival or for damage that occurs during shipping.

In the rare event that certain flowers do not survive transit, I may thoughtfully replace easily replicable blooms with fresh flowers when possible. This allows me to maintain the fullness, balance, and overall beauty of your finished piece while keeping it representative of your original bouquet.

This is uncommon and can almost always be avoided when flowers are shipped promptly and the provided instructions are followed carefully.

2. The Drying & Preservation Process

Before your flowers can be incorporated into your finished piece, they must be carefully dried and prepared. I use silica to gently remove moisture from the flowers while helping preserve their natural shape, structure, and delicate petals.

This process takes time and requires careful monitoring and handling of each individual bloom. Flowers need approximately 2 months to properly process and dry before they are ready to be worked with.

A Note About Silica

I take great care to remove as much silica as possible from each flower once the drying process is complete. However, it is virtually impossible to remove every microscopic particle without risking damage to the flower itself.

In some cases, a very small amount of silica may remain within or around a delicate petal. This is especially common with white, ivory, or light pink flowers, where the silica can occasionally have a subtle greenish appearance.

Please know that this is not an indication of poor craftsmanship or an unfinished piece. The silica is what helped stabilize and preserve that delicate petal in the first place. Removing every last particle could cause the petal to break, crumble, or fall away.

Any remaining silica is typically microscopic and not noticeable when viewing the piece as a whole. It may only become visible when closely examining the flowers or looking at the piece from very near distances.

My priority is always to preserve as much of your original flower as beautifully and safely as possible.

3. Natural Color Variation

Because your flowers are being dried and preserved, they may experience subtle changes in color, tone, or vibrancy.

Some flowers may fade slightly, deepen in color, become more muted, or develop tonal variations during the drying and preservation process. While I make every effort to preserve the natural beauty and character of your blooms, an exact color match to the fresh flower cannot be guaranteed.

These changes are a natural part of preserving real flowers.

4. Natural Imperfections

Flowers are delicate, organic materials, and each one responds differently to the preservation process.

Small blemishes, slight petal imperfections, changes in texture, minor variations in flower placement, or differences in clarity may occur. These characteristics are not considered defects, but rather part of preserving something that was once living and completely unique.

5. Resin Characteristics

Resin is a handcrafted medium and may naturally present minor variations, including small air bubbles, micro-bubbles, faint texture differences, slight variations in clarity, or subtle irregularities in the finished surface.

Every effort is made to create the smoothest and clearest finish possible, but these small characteristics can naturally occur during the curing process and are an inherent part of handcrafted resin work.

6. Handmade & One-of-a-Kind Nature

Every preservation piece is individually designed and handcrafted using your actual wedding flowers.

No two bouquets are alike, and no two finished pieces will ever be exactly identical. I use my artistic judgment when arranging your flowers within your chosen vessel to create a balanced, beautiful composition.

Because of this, the final piece may have small aesthetic variations from reference photos or examples you have seen. These differences are part of what makes your heirloom uniquely yours.

7. Sending Already Dried Flowers

If you choose to send flowers that have already been dried, please understand that the resin process can naturally change their appearance.

Resin may make dried petals appear more translucent, and browning, discoloration, or other changes that were not previously visible may become more noticeable once the flowers are encased in resin.

These changes are a natural result of working with real, previously dried flowers and are outside of my control. Every flower is unique, and I cannot guarantee that an already-dried flower will look exactly the same after being preserved in resin.

8. Design & Artistic Interpretation

Your piece will be designed with your preferences in mind, including your chosen size, shape, base color, and overall style.

As the artist, I retain creative discretion over the final floral arrangement within the chosen vessel. This allows me to work with the natural shape, condition, size, and quantity of your flowers to create the most balanced and beautiful composition possible.

Reference photos are helpful for communicating your preferences, but the final arrangement will always be an original composition created specifically for your flowers.

9. Refund Policy

Because each preservation piece is custom-made specifically for you and involves significant preparation, materials, labor, and time, refunds are not offered based on aesthetic preference, color interpretation, natural floral variation, or expected visual outcome.

Refunds or replacements will only be considered in the event of significant structural damage or a clear production error that substantially deviates from the agreed-upon design.

10. Acknowledgment

By submitting your $200 security deposit and sending your flowers for preservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined above.

I truly value the trust involved in preserving something as sentimental as your wedding flowers. My goal is always to care for your blooms with as much intention, artistry, and respect as possible while creating a piece that allows you to hold onto those memories for years to come.
